The 2026 Christians in Science (CIS) conference last weekend was fantastic with well-informed discussions and thought provoking presentations on a wide range of key issues…
Highlights included:
the ethical application of AI in research,
practical ways forward on climate change,
an update from the front line of astronomy
and recent developments in tracing the ancient origins of life via genetics…
If you’re a Christian and working (or even just interested) in a scientific or technology-based field – then there’s only one thing to do… SUPPORT Christians in Science!!
In my short talk I stressed the importance of being proactive about letting kids know they can embrace modern mainstream science alongside the Christian faith. As Christians involved in science and technology, we are uniquely well positioned to make sure that this positive and life-affirming message doesn’t get drowned out by extremist dogma of any persuasion.
Everyone at the conference enthusiastically shared this view and it was a delight to be able to introduce the much wider choice of science-and-faith resources now available for youngsters, including the Faraday library of kids books, the BioLogos Integrate course and GATBB events, alongside God’s Cosmic Cookbook.
